My favourite café, Oasis

My favourite place to refresh my mind is a big café called “Oasis” in my town. This café is on central side of shopping complex. It has size 5x10 m, not too big, but it has two floors. Before you go in, there is a big glass door between two big glass windows. The colour of front wall is soft grey, so nice if you look in front of this café with minimalist architecture. If you go inside, there are many small plastic chairs and circle tables around the café. In every corner of the room, there is a big vase of “Gelombang Cinta” flowers which make it more attractive. Although, it is a big place, it becomes comfortable with classical songs that are always played on everytime. The unique one from this café is the style of colouring the wall. The colours of the wall are yellow, orange, white, red, blue, and green painted in a line system, combined with blue and white ceiling. The room looks more beautiful with white china. If you go to second floor, there are no more different things. But, you feel cosier because there are five big glass windows. From there, you can see the crowded situation of people’s activities outside. Oasis café makes us feel like we do not want to go anywhere because there is air conditioning (AC). I usually go there with my friends, just talking and relaxing with a glass of melon juice and snack. It is enough to refresh my mind in Oasis café and I ready to continue my activity later.

My Room at Boarding House

When I was in senior high school, my favorite place was my bedroom at boarding house. I love it because it was like my house. The room was not large, it was about 3 x 4 metres. My room, was painted with white color, that was the reason why I felt comfortable when I was in there. If we came into the room through the door, firstly we will see the bed under the window, from which the wind blows hard so the room will be windy and full of fresh air. Next to the door was the cupboard , besides I used to keep my clothes, I also keep my books on there. Nearby the cupboard was the table, it was kind of aged table but still tough to used. The special thing from my room was I looked across the window in the morning. I saw the sunrise and the ray came up into the room, it made me infatuated with my room. My roommate and the landlord were nice to me. So I feel like a fabulous experience and full of atmosphere when I stayed in that boarding house.

My Bedroom

My bedroom is the most comfortable place in my house. It becomes my favorite room since I lived in this house five years ago. Actually it is not too large, the width is just 4 x 4 meters, but it is clean enough. It looks like a small cottage with a bed placed in the corner of this room. The color of the bed cover is pink, so soft and calm. On this bed, there  are a pillow, a bolster, and 15 cute dolls that always accompany me when I am sleeping. If you enter to my bedroom, you can see a table and a chair next to the bed as my  place for study. You can feel the wind blowing from a big window that always make my room cosy and bright near the bed. You can also see a beautiful garden that is full of wonderful flowers from this window. It can change your bad mood to become more cheerful. At the opposite of the window, there is a large cupboard with Bali’s carving. The carving is so smooth and gorgeous. It looks like a carving in the great temple. If you see around my bedroom, you will find a colorful wall. It is combination of attractive colors like pink, violet and blue. The colors are mixed perfectly and it shows the girlie room. It is also completed with some artificial flowers near the window that decorate my room beautifully. I like to spend my time in this room. For me my bedroom is my little palace.

A family restaurant

When I was 19, I worked in a restaurant. It is a family restaurant in the middle of my home town. This restaurant is divided into two parts; the kitchen and the dining area. The kitchen is a busy place. It looks like a market because you can smell spices and hear so many noises. It is a chaotic place especially in dinner time. Even though it is chaotic, I always love being there, because I can see my colleagues working using a set of stoves which installed against the wall, operating a huge oven next to the stoves to bake the meals, mixing some ingredients to make delicious drink. But what makes me happy to be there is the storage room. This room is a place where we put the raw ingredients (except the meat and fish). It is like a room full of treasures, because we put jars of spices side by side on huge furnished wooden shelves. Under the shelves there are wooden crates full of vegetables, fruits, and canned food. I love the smell and I love the warmth. It is a heaven for me. The other part is the dining area. This is where I work. There are two pickup counters in front of the oval salad bar. The cashier is on the left side of one of the pickup counters and right in front of the cashier, there is a long wooden chair for waiting the take-out orders. For those who would like to have dine-in dinner, they can sit either in smoking area which located on the right side of the salad bar or the spacious and comfortable non smoking area which takes place half of the dining area. Many families come to this restaurant because of not only the environment, but also the delicious meals that we served. It is a famous restaurant in the town.

My Lovely Room

My room is my favorite place in my house, it is like the second heaven for me, I feel so comfortable to spend much time there to relax. The size of my room is about 4x4 m, it is not too big but it is enough for me. If you open the door you will feel fresh and calm because I give green nuance in my room. You can see it from the wall colour. In the right side of my room there is a big frame of my friends and me hung on the wall. Under it there is my bed, there are a blanket, a bolster, two pillows, and my lovely pig doll. I choose green bed cover with animal motif because I want to match it with the wall’s colour. If you sleep on  my bed, I am sure you will not wake up soon, because the bed is so comfortable. Beside my bed, you can see a big window with a green curtain that looks so chic. I really like to open the window in the morning because the beautiful sun shine enters my room and fresh air makes my room perfect like my little heaven. Under the window there is a table, where I put a cute reading lamp on it. Beside the reading lamp you can find my teen lit novels collection. I usually put my laptop on it and a small speaker to sing and listen to music. There is a big mirror hung on the cupboard door on the left side of the table. The mirror is my favorite thing in my room, I put my make up kit on my small shelf next to cupboard. I feel joy able and comfortable in this room because it is quite clean and green that makes me calm, so I love my room.

My Hometown

I was born in a local hospital located in a pretty much an outcast village, part of Magetan Regency. At that time, I thought Magetan was a nice-good looking, full of peace and of course a wonderful place. The air was actually suitable for the living things. In fact, there were many trees surrounded, organized like soldiers who were about to march for a ceremony in a war and forever standing with roots full of muscles from west to east of the Regency. These trees were what make the air more suitable for us to live, especially these trees were planted and put aside with such colorful farms plants and fancy-traditional construction of houses. Tons of colorful flowers, many kind of trees were planted with such flavour smell. The stream of river on the side roads, roared but gently flew following the miles, between the farms and houses made the perfect combination of natural environment with the modern construction of houses and roads. These were what made the air very fresh, the pollution were invisible by the beauty and the "Angelness" sight-seeing in the regency of my hometown, Magetan.

Bromo Mountain

Bromo Mountain is a heaven of the world, one of the most beautiful places. It is located in Ngadasari village, Sukapura Subdistrict, Probolinggo Regency. It is still very natural. There is no pollution in most areas. The air is still clean and you can feel the air is cool when it comes into your nose, your throat, and your lungs. It is certainly good for us to breathe. We can also see many kinds of vegetables planted by natives, such as cabbage, carrot, potato, corn and many more. Even we can also find many strawberry gardens which are owned by natives on the way to go to Bromo mountain. We can harvest it right away or just buy and take it home. It can make us feel like in our dream land. From Pananjakan we can see sunrise and it is one of the best places in the world for being able to see sunrise. The scenery is certainly very amazing. You can feel like you are in the clouds. There are many visitors going there, willing to feel a cold, awaking in the early morning and taking journey to Pananjakan just to see the wonderful scenery from the top of it. It also has a unique event called Kasada on Kasada month 14-15 (the 10Th month according on Javanese calendar), which is celebrated by natives (Tengger ethnic) to give thanks to God for their harvest by putting many kinds of their harvests on Bromo's crater. It is very exciting event. I think it is rather difficult to find the thanks giving event like Kasada, because it is only held in Bromo. All of those are very interesting and entertaining to refresh our mind from any kind of life problems. That is why it is not wrong for us to call Bromo as a heaven of the world, one of the most beautiful places which is exciting to visit.
