A Brainstorm

Brainstorm is the negative kind of brainwash, a method or a way which is used to change our perception or to lead the way of thinking to have the same idea in interpretation about something by infiltrating an information or idea to our brain. A brainwash is a useful method if it is used for positive aims, such as to develop our confidence, to increase or build spirit of war, etc. But it will be negative if it is used for negative aims such as for an activity which has a reason for religion like “jihad” for example. Brainmstorm is one of the biggest issues which Indonesian people have been talking about recently. It cannot be underestimated because it has caused many victims, especially for young moslems. The victims are able to allow themselves to accomplish their aim for the holy war because they think they will get heaven as an exchange of the activity. Whereas the truth of the idealism is not still able to be proven. It is really difficult for us to annihilate their activity. But there are some ways or solutions to avoid the influence of brainstorm. First, we do not believe too much to strangers. We have to be aware to the strangers if they try to give a strange attention for us. Second, we should be overminded in thinking. We ought to reduce our egoism, not to think in radical ways. Islam is a religion which loves peace. Third, we had better think the impacts of the activity. Whether it will give us bad impacts or not. Whether the activity will harm us, our family and other people or not. If there are many disadvantages that occur which can be caused by the idealism, we have to it. Fourth, we had better get the truth of the idealism. We can try to look for the truth from Qur’an, books, ask to ustadz or someone who has enough capability about that. Jihad is actually holy war in Islam. But it is not radicalism. “Dakwah” is one of the best ways to do jihad in a country which has many religions like Indonesia. Beware and try to think more often about new idealism which we might get. Avoid regretness about our noble death, so that it will not be wasted.

Senior High School and College

Nowadays, it is hard to find a proper job. Unemployed is always increased every year. There is no guarantee, the higher education will give an ease to get a job. It depends on ourselves. But by continueing our education to a college university, it will help us to get a proper job more easily. Our readiness to do a job will be better than when we only graduate from a senior high school. In a college, the students are demanded to have a better independency than the students who study in a senior high school. The college students have to manage their own lesson schedules by themselves and they are  the senior high school students. They cannot manage their own lesson schedule. They also cannot choose the teachers. All of them are managed by their teacher’s decision. The students in a senior high school have to cometo the class from Monday to Saturday. While the college students have to come to the class from Monday to Friday, and it can be less depending on their own lesson schedule. The teachers in a senior high school are usually more caring than the lecturers, the teachers in a college university. The teachers usually have a better attention to their students about the attendance and the school grades of their students. So as a college student, we should pay better attention to our education for our own better future, a better future in getting a proper job.

Briptu Norman Kamaru, The Indonesian’s Syah Rukh Khan

Nowadays, the name of Syah Rukh Khan and Briptu Norman Kamaru are not strange again to Indonesian people. The name of Briptu Norman became popular after he did video lipsing of Hindi song in You-Tube. Norman who is an ordinary policeman from Gorontalo, suddenly becomes very popular, as popular as Syah Rukh Khan, a Bollywood artist in India. Both of them are good in dancing. In the video, Briptu Norman was able to dance like the way of Syah Rukh Khan’s dance in the Hindi song which entitles “Chaiya-Chaiya”. Norman also has a good voice, as melodious as Syah Rukh Khan’s. It is proven by his performance to sing the Hindi song, Chaiya-Chaiya in some TV stations, such as RCTI, SCTV, TransTV, TVOne, Trans7 and many more other TV stations. Almost all the audiances are cheered up by his performance and almost all of them sing and dance along with him. Both, Syah Rukh Khan and Briptu Norman Kamaru have a wonderful talent about Hindi song and the dance. It is not easy either to sing a Hindi song or to show a dance in the style of Hindi. We should not blame his act act as a bad act of a policeman, but we should be proud and appreciate his wonderful talent.

Coupling : The Sources of Sins

Coupling is not a kind of detachable things in adolescent’s life nowadays. It is one of the sources of sins. Islam has prohibited coupling explicitly. In Islam, the activity is kind of prohibition which is commonly classified as “zinah”. Zinah is the second big sin in Islam. There are many kinds of zinah. There are zinah by our heart, zinah by our eyes, zinah by our hands, zinah by our lips and many more kinds of zinah. But the worst kind of it is having sexual intercourse. It is the same thing with doing a sin about 80 years. In Al-Qur’an, Allah SWT has explained, “Do not you approach something which can lead you to do zinah, because actually zinah is a kind of despichable acts and a bad way.” (QS. Al-Isra’ : 32). Our prophet, Muhammad SAW disagrees with coupling either. It is not without a reasons. He said, “Do not both of you (man and woman) come together in a place, because syeitan (the prince of darkness) will be the third of you.” He means that the activity (coupling) can give an encouragement to do zinah. It is also able to make a small sin becomes a big sin. There are many common activities in coupling, such as holding, hugging, kissing, and or even more like having sexual intercourse. Holding can encourage to do hugging, hugging can encourage to do kissing, kissing can encourage to do something more or even having sexual intercourse, the real zinah. Love actually is a kind of feeling which given by God, Allah SWT. But as moslem, we should know how to respond that kind of feeling. Beware of that kind of feeling, do not let it leads us to do zinah by coupling. Avoiding to have couple is kind of obligation for us as moslem.

Rubbish

Nowadays, there are many environment problems. These problems consist of land problems, water problems, and air problems. One of the main sources of these problems is rubbish. The volume of rubbish is increasing. We can find many types of rubbish everytimes and everywhere. Commonly, rubbish consists of residue of foods, plastics, leaves, and many others. This rubbish comes from many ways, such as, houses, schools, factories, and so on, including every person. Today, we can produce 1200 ton rubbish/ day. If we cannot minimize production of rubbish, day by day, the level of rubbish will be over limit and make some disasters, for example, floods, landslides, extinction of animals and others. In order to solve these problems, first, we can reduce our paper use by using both sides of the paper when we print out our job and write a letter. Second, we must minimize the using of plastic bag. We have to reuse our old plastic bag at home, because plastic is one of the difficult things to decompose. We must try to think that if we go to the market one month with our old plastic bag, we can imagine how many plastics cannot be rubbish. The last is that we can recycle our own useless things to be something useful. For example, we can make something with our papers to be cover of our books, draft of Paragraph Writing tasks or to write notes. Therefore, the three R, reduce, reuse and recycle is a good way to decrease the volume of rubbish.

Living in a small village and a city

Most people want to live happily with their family in comfortable places. Some of them prefer to live in a small village to a city. But, some of them say the opposite. They are many differences between living in a small village and living in a city. If we choose to live in a small village, we can find comfortable places or we can enjoy the beautiful scenery from fields, mountains, lakes, and rivers that we cannot find them in the city. Besides, we can feel so quiet with the situation and there is no pollution from public transportation or factories, so, we can breath fresh air. In a small village, there are no noises and the important thing is that we cannot find any traffic jam over the small village. We can go anywhere easily. In contrary, if we choose to live in a city, we can find a noisier sound, very dangerous pollution and crowded situation in everyside of the city. But, living in a city is very helpful, because we can find more jobs in high salaries than jibs in a small village. In the city, there are various equipments, we can find everything we want, such as foods, clothes, cars, and many others completely and easily. So, we san say that, living in a small village and a city has many differences in term of the situation, the air condition, and the ability to find something, like jobs or some equipments.

The Effect of Social Network

Today, there are many ways to communicate to each other outside. High technology tools appear to help us to communicate easily and quickly. The newest communication tool is a social network in which we can make friends by it, for example, Face book or Twitter. There, we just show our own picture with our personal identity and we can add someone who wants to be our friend easily. However, do you ever think that social network makes more problems for children? There are some reasons to keep away social network from children. First, the social network is available for adults. So, the features are only for adults and do not fix with children environment. It makes a bad lesson to their mental development. Second, there are many criminal actions, such as deception, robbing, violence and so on. Sometimes, children become a victim of the criminal actions. Besides, children can imitate these things in their social life. Third, connecting to social network web needs more money. Therefore, children use their own pocket money to connect if their parents do not give them. Actually, they get some bad habits to spend their money to something useless. Fourth, the important reason is social network can disturb their main duty as a child, like studying or helping their parents. Children usually lose their concentration and are lazy to study. They prefer to connect social network than studying. Thus, social network is a bad thing for children, because it makes more problems.

An Interesting Journey in Bali

Last year, I went to Bali for holiday. I stayed there for only three days. I went there by bus with my family. I left at 3 p.m. from Malang and I arrived there at 7 a.m. That was a longer journey. Usually, we could arrive at Bali in 11 hours, but our journey took in 16 hours. So, we got additional 4 hours. It happened because there was a falling tree on the way to Bali. Therefore, our bus could not move and a traffic jam could not be avoided. But finally we arrive there safely. The first day we did in Bali was we went to the hotel to take a rest. After we felt better, we went to Tanjung Benoa, the first beach that we visited. In Tanjung Benoa, we played water sports, such as paragliding and jets ski. Not only that, we felt so amazed with the beautiful beach and the heat of the sun. The following place was GWK or Garuda Wisnu Kencana. Over there, we looked at a big statue of Balinese God. In the second day, we went to a traditional village in Trunyan. In Trunyan, there were many corpses of Trunyan’s people that were not buried, but they were only put on the ground with the treasures. Thus, we found people’s craniums, bones, and many others scattered around there. Not only that, we found bad smells from the corpse, so scary moment. In the afternoon, we went to Dreamland, the beautiful beach around Bali. I felt comfortable with the situation over there. We saw a remarkable sunset. We did not forget to take pictures of the fantastic scenery. At third day, we went to a traditional foods art and shop centre in Bali. We bought some Bali’s traditional foods and handmade, for example, a statue, a painting, “dodol Bali” and many others. We also learned about traditional rituals that Balinese people do, such as making a ritual offering and making a special food for their family. In the evening, we watched traditional dances from Bali, for example, Kecak and Pendet dances. When we watched the dance, we felt so surprised with the moment, especially when one of the dancers was possessed. But, overall I like these dances very much. The next day, we went back to Malang. It was a sad moment because I thought that Bali is a beautiful island and I did not want to go from there. But, we must go back to Malang to continue our activities. I think it is true that Bali is a famous tourism destination and resembles a heaven in the world, because you can find everything over there, like beautiful places, beaches, delicious foods, friendly people and creative handmade. So, I think having three days experiences in Bali was an unforgettable journey.

My favourite café, Oasis

My favourite place to refresh my mind is a big cafĂ© called “Oasis” in my town. This cafĂ© is on central side of shopping complex. It has size 5x10 m, not too big, but it has two floors. Before you go in, there is a big glass door between two big glass windows. The colour of front wall is soft grey, so nice if you look in front of this cafĂ© with minimalist architecture. If you go inside, there are many small plastic chairs and circle tables around the cafĂ©. In every corner of the room, there is a big vase of “Gelombang Cinta” flowers which make it more attractive. Although, it is a big place, it becomes comfortable with classical songs that are always played on everytime. The unique one from this cafĂ© is the style of colouring the wall. The colours of the wall are yellow, orange, white, red, blue, and green painted in a line system, combined with blue and white ceiling. The room looks more beautiful with white china. If you go to second floor, there are no more different things. But, you feel cosier because there are five big glass windows. From there, you can see the crowded situation of people’s activities outside. Oasis cafĂ© makes us feel like we do not want to go anywhere because there is air conditioning (AC). I usually go there with my friends, just talking and relaxing with a glass of melon juice and snack. It is enough to refresh my mind in Oasis cafĂ© and I ready to continue my activity later.

Playing at the River

My mother had some activities which forbid me to do. One of them is playing at the river. But, I once did it whit my friend when I was an elementary school student. At first, I made sure that my mother was not at home. I remembered that she went to the market. She had asked me to follow her, but I refused it. When my mother was gone, I took my clothes and came to my friend’s house, Susi, soon. Then Susi and I went to the river near her house. When we arrived at the river, we took a banana’s tree. We cut and used it as a boat. Another thing we did was looking for fish and colecting them in a plastic. I though we had played for long time. I was afraid my mother at home already. So, we decided to go home. On the way home, we saw some mangos in our neighbor’s garden. We slote one and ate it. The mango was sour because it was not ripe. When I arrrrive at home, I was my clotshes and took bath. At 11.30 my mother went home. I fell safe at the moment. But she asked me why I changad my clothes and she found wet clothes hung behind the bathroom. Finally I say the turth and she was angry to me. At night, I got toothace. My father had to give something warm onmy cheeck. I though it because I ate a sour mango. After that time, I never do something without permission.

Cell Phone is Dangerous for Children

Now cell phone is the most important thing in our daily life. Almost all people all over the world use it, not only adults but also children. They will agree that cell phone is very effective or helpful for their business. But I thing cell phone is dangerous for children under the age of 12 years old. Why ? First, the feature of the cell phone for children are the same with adult,s. For example, the cell phone is completed with WAP. WAP is a technology that link device such as mobile phone to internet. By using this feature, the children can download adult website, like games, pornography, adult picture etc. It influences their attitude and behaviour. The second reason is that the children waste much money. They have to buy credit for their cell phone. Actually they can save their money for something useful like buy book, dictionary and their stationary. The third reason is that the effect of radiation from cell phone is dangerous for health. The use of cell phone for long time can trigger than growth of cencer cell, intefery with ear health, skin and brain. Because the children immune systems are still develope and more sensitive to many things, the radiation of the cll phone can attack them easily. That is why the parents should not give their children a cell phone although it makes them easy to communicate.

Mountain and Beach

Work, study, money are resource of depression. What are you doing if you get it? You have to relax and take your time to enjoy your life. If you get bored with the tourisms in town, it time ti go back to nature. Mountain and beach can be the best choises. Both of them are beautiful. But, they give you different experience in your life. If you goo to the beach, you spend much mony than to the mountain. It is becouse you have to pay for the petrol or car if you do not drive your own car. In additin, you just sit down in the car and enjoy the scenery on the way to the beach. However, when you go to the montain, you do not need a car or motorcycle because you climb the top of the mountin on foot. It gives somethings different in your soul.like peace. Why? Because you just hear sounds of small animals. When you have arrived at the top of the mountain, you will see places like villages, towns, firms, etc. everithing looks small. Other thing that you can find in the beach but nit in the mountain are you ca find sand, ships, you ca walk in the shore and enjoy the sound of waves. Another difference between mountain and beach is that you have to bring your own food from home if you go to the mountain because you never find food seller on the top of the mountain, but you do not have to bring your own food if you go to the beach because there are many food seler there., like noodle, meatball, fish etc. if we talk about whether of course the mountain is coller than beach. So if you get depressed you can go o the mountain or beach.

I am not sure nobody do not know who Ananda Omes and Olga Saputra are. They are hosts in some television programs. Almost everyday you can find their faces on television. Uniquely, both of them have quite funny similarities. First, both of them are less than 30 years old. Ananda Omes is 25 years old and Olga Saputra is 28 year old. Then, both of them are still single. Obesity

Obesity is related to human health condition in which he or she becomes too fat. If you are in this kind of condition and do not concern with it, you are in a big problem then. Gradually it will ruin your life, because obesity can cause so many diseases like heart attack, diabetes, respiratory, etc. here are some solutions to solve this problem. First, you can start by controlling your food. You must eat three times a day in a proper portion, not too much and not too less. Then you must eat it on time. The frequency of your meal could be five hours or more, for instance, you can eat your breakfast at 7, lunch at 12, and dinner at 6 p.m. Also you must concern with your food quality. Stay away from junk food, like burger, hot dog, coke, and every fried food. You may eat that kind of food but just once a week. It is better if you eat boiled or roasted food. The next is to work out. It does not need a hard work out. You can do cardio, like, jogging, walking, or swimming. You must do exercises at least three times a week in the morning or in the afternoon. It will burn the fat that stuck in your body. The last is to do those activities intensively will help you to stay alive.

Flood

Flood is a kind of Natural Disaster which hurts or even kills people and animals. Flood can also damage houses, factories, public places, etc. There are some efforts to minimize flood. First, we must not cut down the trees in the forest illegaly, because it can cause many disasters for human beings, one of which is flood. Flood happens because the rain water cannot be absorbed by the root of plants, so the water flows directly to the ground. Second, We should plant any kinds of trees in our house, in the barren area or in the side of the road, so the water can be absorbed easily by the root of the plants. Besides, with this way we get many advatages such as to decrease air pollution and to support 'Go Green' program for Global Warming and Climate Change on our earth. The last is that we must not throw away rubbish anywhere which can disturb the flowing of the river water. For example, in Jakarta the people like to throw away the rubish anywhere such as in the river and ditch, as a result flood happens in Jakarta every year. The other flood happens in many other places like in Situ Gintung and Wasior, it is because the people like to throw away the rubbish anywhere. By doing those simple efforts, we can minimize the disasters and participate in the preservation of our environment. So, we must keep our environtment.

Air Pollution

Air pollution is a common problem in our country. Air pollution comes from dangerous chemical substances which spread in the air, for example, carbon monoxide, CFC, carbon dioxide, hydro carbon, sulfur dioxide, etc. Those substances are produced by human activities such as the using of vehicles which produce smokes causing the air pollution and factory activities such as producing the tires and fake animal skin which use fuels and machine that trigger the air pollution. However, most people are lack of attention to this problem. Even, they do not care that air pollution can be very dangerous for the human health and our environment. How to solve this problem then? There are some solutions to overcome this problem. The first solution is that we must begin reducing the air pollution from ourselves. Lets do the go green. We can start it by planting the plants like flowers or trees in our house. Next, we can make a community to do the go green in some places such as school, city park and forest. Plants can reduce the air pollution by producing the oxygen which is very important for human life to breathe. Plants can also absorb the carbon dioxide by their leaves. Plants do the photosyntesis that occurs in the leaves. They need the carbon dioxide, that is why they absorb the carbon dioxide and of course plants help us to reduce the air pollution. The second solution is that the government should give clear rules for the industries which use fuels and machine causing the air pollution. The first rule is that the industries should change the fuels and machine with the new one that is more eco-friendly for the environment. For example, the industries can use the fuel cells which gain energy from hydrogen. The fuel cells are more eco-friendly because the waste is water. The industries can also use the solar cells for the machine as the electrical energy. Fuel cells and solar cells are the renewed technology which save for the environment. The second rule is that the government should restrict the ownership of vehicles for each family. Nowadays, there are many families who have more than one car or motorcycle. The big number of vehicles can increase the air pollution by their smokes. So the government should give a strick rule, “each family should have one car and one motorcycle”. If the number of vehicles is decreasing, it makes the amount of the air pollution decrease too. From those solutions, we expect to save our environment from the air pollution. We can not vanish the air pollution but we can reduce it with those solutions. So lets start it now.

LONELY NIGHT

It was Saturday night when my band  scheduled to show at Kanjuruan University. But, the weather was not good at all. It was raining all day long. And i was so scared, because i thought somethings went wrong but i still kept moving. So, at 5 p.m i went to venue , and once again i was worried that i could not be there. While i drove my motor , i saw raining storm in front of me/ so i stopped riding my motor and looked for shelter. And , i was so bored because i had been waiting for 15 minutes to do nothing. Besides , my band’s mates were still calling me. I just got stuck in the moment. But, how lucky i was, the show was cancelled. Then , i spent my lonely night all alone and i felt like really – really stuck in the moment. After i had waited for 1 hour, the rain stopped. I got home and straight  to take a bed. And what i got from this experience is not to go alone, because anything is possible to happen. Just stick together with your team.

The Untaken Care Environment

World is like a living thing that is just like us or even animals. It is very important for us to know and admit that we live on Earth and in one condition where we need each other's attention in order to live peacefully. What has been happening around us, throughout the world, is that human kinds do not take care of the environments, in which it would be so much troublesome of the balance is not even. All these mess are most likely caused by human that do not give a good feedback to the environment where these environment actually naturally just give away what the human need. Human kind cut down trees illegally just to make a wider are so that they ca have more buildings in order to make life more convenient and easier, according to them. Human kinds build more and more factories that produce so much gasses that harm the environment, however, according to those builders in this era, we can not afford to waste any times thinking about "saving Earth" whereas, according to them, world has became modern. All of those mentioned above are very true, but one thing we should always remember though, trees and all around us such as the environments are connected and have an enormous effect to our daily life activities, therefore, we all must be in balanced. Plantations make the air cooler, and the better air we consume, the better life spend we will have. These trees and plants are the "filters" for the good air and oxygen we inhale. Environment give us enough stock of needs for our daily life. We should have more social community activities explaining and describing what are actually need. We must make a better future for our children and give so much appreciations to the world for letting us to live peacefully with the gifts of being as "filters".

Early Marriage

Marrying has been an issue to the young people nowadays. Many young people got married at such early age, and I think it just fine. Marrying is your right to do. As a human being, we have a complete control of what we are desired to do as long as the activities are not making other people injured. Early marriage gives you a long time of a relationship with a full right of what you will do with you bride or bridegroom. You will have a longer time to spend with him/her. Early marriage is also the solution for those people who are no longer able to control their lust towards males or females. Especially in Islam, marriage is a way of controlling ourselves. I think this reason is not just suggested to the muslim people. There are actually some considerations for us to think about whether we want to get married at early age. Young people tend to put their emotion in the first place, rather than just be patient and think straightly. I think you will not possibly organize your family if you put your emotion first. You also need to have a strong mental just in case there are some unpredictable things happen to you and your family. I think those kind of things are only yourself whom known it well, not people around you. So, as long as you are ready and know the consequences, just get married.

Schooler and College Student

Being a student is not cool as it always been. You are being told by lectures and teachers to do works that, I am pretty sure, you do not feel like to do them. I can not tell which one is better, being a student in school or in college. First thing you can easily recognize, in schools, you have to wear uniforms. These uniforms have the same colors. However, certain uniforms are worn only on certain days. It is the wearing of the uniforms one being scheduled. Whenever you do not wear the proper uniforms as what has been scheduled, you going to be asked why and if you do not have the right reason, you are going to be in trouble. It is very different when you are in college. In college, you do not have uniforms. You may wear clothes as vary as you want, however, you may wear a very different clothes to other. The only thing that counts is the politeness of the clothes. You may wear whatever kind of clothes you want but it must be the polite one. Second contrast from schools and in college is the amount of work you must do. In schools, teachers do not give as much homework as you would be in the college. Schoolers have many classes to take and such short time for holidays and to do the works. It is very contrast when you are in college. In college, you do not have many classes as you are in school. You must do many works when you are in college, because you have few classes to take. There are more holidays you will have than you are in schools, lectures tend to give many works because of that. Basically the contrasts are easily to be seen, lectures are easy going people and teachers tend to be be more serious towards the students education.

Yudi and Rifky

It has been about one year that I have same classes with Yudi and Rifky. Those two people are very common in many ways.
First, if you look at them, right away you will notice that physically they have the same amount of weight. They are kind of fat. Their stomach are both big and their cheeks are chubby. The hands are also big and he neck too. Second, their English are good and perhaps sort of fluent to American English. The way they talk are very easy to understood. The pronunciation is perfect for me. They both use easy words that we, as the second speaker of English, can easily recognize it. In spite of their fluently of speaking English, they like to skip classes whenever they like to. They skip classes many times, especially for the class that they don't like. However, they are actually smart. They answer questions when they are being asked by lectures. They do homework although mostly they just copy the work from friends. Finally, the las thing I recognize from them is that they are at making jokes. Anything that they talk about always make me laugh to death. The way they use and mix English with Bahasa Indonesia is just very good in the use of jokes. Basically they have many similarities and I supposed those similarities are in good ways.

True Friend Came by Accidently Just To Say A "Hello"

Friend, for me was not just a kind of a person who could keep you being accompanied. I found it was difficult to find just a single friend. I had people who accompanied me, but they were all nothing. Friend, in my thought, was that who can reach where your soul lies. There was a slight difference between true friend or not. My experience was kind of funny. When I was in my 8th grade, one of my friends gave me a phone number of his friend. I was very happy because I got a new number just right after I got my cellphone. So, I contacted the number and I found out her name was Paskah, lived in Kediri. Paskah was in 11th grade, which it was way higher than me, but I didn't care. It was pretty funny actually, having a long distance friend whom I had never seen her before and much older than me. She understood me very well and did not even complain about me that always contacted her and for our big GAP in ages. Days go by and we got closer. She introduced me to her mother and I had no idea why she would do that and why I agreed to her. It was not like I wanted to be her boyfriend or anything like that, in fact, I felt comfortable as long as she replied my sms which she always did. We texted for reminding daily activities and some poems about friendaship. We were very close that I had the idea of calling her as my sister and she would call me as her brother. However, we had been friend for three years and nothing did changed, however, we got closer and that was just perfect. Three years at that time, we had been together in a long distance friendship. After she graduated from high school, she moved to Malang to enter a college. The same as me but in different year, I moved to Malang to continue my high school. For such a long time, we finally met at her place. Things were just getting better and much better. We hung out together to places and just had fun. After a six years friendship, we decided to go on our own lives. Something between us was missing, but it didn't matter. We still needed each other and we still texted each other. Friendship that I could never regret was the fact that we lost contact. She was jut the one I needed.

Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton

Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton are beautiful singers from Hollywood. Both of them have some similar things. Firstly, they started their carrier when they were young. Lindsay Lohan started her carrier when she was 14 years old and Paris Hilton started her carrier when she was 17 years old. They played as an actress in the movie also. Lindsay Lohan acted as Casey Mitchell in a “ Life – Size “ film. Paris Hilton acted as a Paris in a TV series, “ The Simple Life “. They also tried to make a breakthrough in a music industry. Both of them became popular singers in the Hollywood. Secondly, both of them are party freak. They often spend their time to make a big party. For example, Lindsay Lohan celebrated her birthday party in the seven night clubs for 4 days. Paris Hilton also celebrated her birthday party in her private house in the Hollywood. She invited 300 people and there were some policemen to keep her party. Both of them seem like attention seekers. They make a big party to show to the world that both of them are fabulous. Thirdly, both Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton were jailed. They drove a car while they were drunk. It happened for many times. Valentine Day

People have known that valentine day is annual commemoration for love held on February 14. A lot of  people celebrate a valentine day to express their deepest love to their friends, family and their couple. They are not only christian but also moslem people. But actually moslem people should not celebrate it because of three reasons. First of all, valentine day is celebrated to remind the death of priest Valentine. He was sentenced to dead by the emperor Claudius II because priest Valentine performed marriages for young lovers in secret. It is ok for the christian people if they want to celebrate it. It is one of the way to remember the priest. But for moslem people, they should not celebrate it because in Islam, there is no valentine day. However, there is still some moslem people celebrate the valentine day to appreciate other people. The second reason, is that valentine day will waste a lot of money. For the moslem people who celebrate the valentine day have to buy some stuff like chocolates, candies, flowers and T-shirt. They have to give the stuff for their couple, friends and family because that is the tradition of  valentine day. In my opinion, they will spend a lot of money for the stuff. So if they want to save their money, they should not celebrate it. The third reason is that they could still show their love without celebrating the valentine day. They can show their love everyday. Because showing love is not limited by time and place. If they celebrate the valentine day, it means they only have love on that day and there is no love on the other days. All in all, valentine day should not be celebrated it by the moslem people. Besides it is not allowed in Islam, it also wastes money. We can show our love everyday, right?

The Hardest Thing in My Life

I have an unforgettable experience when I tried to enroll to the university. I felt that it was the hardest struggle in my life. Firstly, I got an information about PMDK at State University of Malang. My Parents asked me to join that chance. So I followed it and I decided to choose English education and Mathematics education. I did not have a test for the Mathematics education. But I had to follow the test for English education a week after I got the information. In the examination, I had to do 100 items in the form of reading comprehension. I just did well for the 50 items. I got some difficulties for the other 50 items. I did not understand every single word. I was extremely sure that I could not pass this test. I had to wait three hours for the announcement. What I predicted was true. I could not find my name in the announcement put in the large boards. I felt so sad but I tried to be sincere because I still had a chance in the second choice:  Mathematics education. Soon I got an announcement about it. I was admitted in the Mathematics education. I was so happy and my family were proud of me. But suddenly, I felt uncomfortable with this major. I still wanted to reach my dream as a doctor, English lecturer, or Mathematics lecturer from the pure one. But I was admitted in the education one. So it made me confused whether I would study in Mathematics education or pure one. Because of this confussion, I still tried another chance in SMPS 1 at State University of Malang. I chose English education and English literature. But I failed again. I felt so sad and disappointed. Finally, I had to chose either Mathematics education or the other test: SNMPTN. Because the date of SNMPTN test concided with the date of PMDK’s registration, I decided to cancel the Mathematics education. It meant that I had to study hard for the SNMPTN test. I also joined a course in Neutron for two months to get more excercise in SNMPTN test. I had three choices: Medical education and pure Mathematics at Brawijaya University and English education at State University of Malang. I had to do 200 items but I could answer only 80 items. That was why, I was not sure to pass it. A month later, I could not find my name printed on the newspaper or web. I felt depressed. I just wanted to cry and do nothing. Soon my parents said that there was SMPS II at State University of Malang. I tried to get up from my sadness and took the last chance, SMPS II. I studied harder, harder and harder. I also never forgot to perform tahajjud prayers. I tried to do my best in the test. A week later, surprisingly I found my name on web. I felt happy because I could study at State University of Malang in English literature. I thanked God for the gift. From this experience, I got an value. If you want to reach your dream, never give up until your last breathe.

Facebook Vs. Twitter

Facebook and twitter are free service sites of social networking, facebook has been used by the public since september 2006, while twitter since October 2006. The different services between them in my opinion are as follows. First, the interface or twitter is simpler that is not too interesting for some people. While facebook, there are many kinds of applications that make facebook more interesting and attractive such as games, post card, survey, etc. Another thing is that twitter is focused on the microblogging ( a blog is a type of website, usually it is made by an individual with reguler entries comentary, description of events such as graphics or videos). The blog is limited only for 140 caracter. Second, for facebook besides it could be for microblogging, it is also an interesting social networking to comunicate each other. With facebook we can use the chating tab to make communications with our friends which are online at the some time. The last is an “ a symmetric “ model which is about how twitter currenly works. With twitter, if you want to make a friend we just send a friend request and automatically he/she becomes our friends without a need to ask for a permission from them. So we could “ follow “ some artists in twitter easily. While facebook has always used a “symetric “ model in which each time we add someone as a friend he/she has to add us as a friend as well. Although both services are basically the same, but they have advantages and disadvantages. So it depends on our needs.

Jupe and Depe

The similarities of Julia Peres (Jupe) and Dewi Persik (Depe) are both are Dangdut singers, Film actrees, Sinetron actress, and edvertisement stars. Jupe is beautiful and has a sexy body and Depe does too. Both of them are quite popular and phenomenal actresses because of their stage actions. When they perform, they always wear sensational and seductive style clothes to expose their body, such as, sack dress, tube top, hot pant, mini skirt, etc. Both of them are often forbidden by MUI, for example to show in South Sumatra. Jupe and Depe have ever been in a controversial gossip because of their seductive style. Jupe got a controversial gossip, her album Kamasutra which has a single titled “ Belah Duren” got a prohibition from MUI because this album got condoms bonus. This news makes Jupe cannot show in same places, such as NTB and Balik Papan. The Minister of Woman’s Empowerment Meulita Hatta said that what Jupe’s did are supporting the free sex. For Depe, because of their her seductive style, she got a sexual abuse from her fanatic fans after her show. Depe then hit the man who grabbed on her body. Another similarity between Jupe and Depe is that they often play in horror movies. Jupe plays in some films, such as Beranak Dalam Kubur, Susahnya Jadi Perawan, Hantu Jamu Gendong, Sumpah Ini Pocong, Kuntilanak Kamar Mayat, etc. Depe’s films are Tali Pocong Perawan, Mati Kemaren(TIREN), Setan Budeg, Susuk Pocong, Paku Kuntilanak, etc. The most interesting thing is that they play together in a film Arwah Goyang Karawang. The last similarity between them is about their lives. Jupe is a widow and so is Depe. Although Jupe and Depe often make sensational and controversial gossips. I think they are multitalented artists.

Jatim Park and BNS

We all know that the most exciting amusement park in Malang are Jatim Park and BNS (Batu Night Spectacular). But, although both are located in the same city, they have some differences. Firstly, Jatim Park only opens in the daylight. It opens drom 8.00 p.m. to 5.00 p.m. While BNS opens in the afternoon, from 3.00 p.m. to midnight. So, if you go to both amusement parks, you will get the different experiences. In Jatim Park you will feel the sunlight and the warm breeze when you are playing there. But, in BNS you will see lampions everywhere. They looks so romantic. Another difference is the payment system. If you do not want to get confused with the payment system, I personally suggest you to go to Jatim Park. Because it is simpler. In Jatim Park you will only pay once at the entrance gate about Rp. 50.000,- then you can enjoy all of the facilities. But, not in BNS, you need to pay one by one if you want to enjoy the facilities. Aside from those differences, both amusement parks will not make you regret if you visit there.
